Georgia DOT requesting input on proposed roundabouts

The Georgia Department of Transportation (Georgia DOT) has posted information regarding proposed project PI# 0015916, which would install roundabouts on Georgia 20 in McDonough at CS 992/McGarity Road and CS 608/Lawrenceville Street at https://sr-20-roundabouts-0015916-gdot.hub.arcgis.com/. The purpose of this public information ‘open house’ portal is to provide the public with an opportunity to view the proposed project details and to allow them to ask questions and give comments about the project.

The proposed intersection improvement project would construct single-lane roundabouts at the intersections of Georgia 20/Conyers Road at McGarity Road and Georgia 20/N. Zack Hinton Parkway at Lawrenceville Street in the city of McDonough, located in Henry County, Georgia. The total length of the project is 0.33 miles along Georgia 20.

    Great idea! How about the others on East Lake Road that was under consideration? The round about at Ga 20 and East Lake is a great successor! This one and others will be, too! Traffic moves a lot quicker with these roundabouts!
