Henry County Senior Services along with Henry County Council on Aging are launching a brand-new tradition as the County plans to host an inaugural Spring Fling for Henry County Seniors aged 55 and older.

Slated for May 18 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m., the event is in recognition of Older Americans Month, which takes place every May.

Senior Services Director Shawn Norris said the event will be a great day for Henry County seniors to be celebrated for their numerous contributions.

“It will be a day for our older adults to come together, socialize, dance and enjoy themselves while being celebrated for their many sacrifices and contributions to our community, county and country,” said Norris.

The free event will feature live music, food, games, live demos and vendors. It will take place at the Jason T. Harper Event Center located at 95 Lake Dow Road in McDonough.
