Hospital program seeks support

Churches and organizations throughout Henry County are collecting letters, posters, and cards to deliver to the hospital in August as part of a campaign to send encouraging cards or posters showing support to the staff of Piedmont Henry Hospital. The hospital admitted its first COVID-19 patient in March and has been caring for an increasing number of people with the disease since then. The letters, cards, and signs are a way to show support for the entire staff and the care they provide to the community.

“We can’t thank the individuals, local businesses, and organizations who sent cards, prayed in our parking lots, and donated food or homemade masks during the first few months of the pandemic, enough,” said Lily Henson, M.D., CEO of Piedmont Henry. “In that time of uncertainty, it meant a great deal to our staff to know the community was behind them. As we enter the fifth month of this pandemic, the brave men and women providing care to our patients could use a similar show of support. It would be a tremendous boost to their morale.”

The goal is that every employee at Piedmont Henry would receive a card or a letter of encouragement. If you would like to send a card or letter, you can either drop it off in the lobby of the Education Building on campus, or you can mail it to Piedmont Henry Hospital Community Relations, 1133 Eagle’s Landing Parkway, Stockbridge, GA 30281. The deadline for cards and letters is Saturday, August 15.
